Reminders

Parents,

Don't forget that Kindergarten is hosting Chili's night tonight from 5:00-8:00. Hope to see you all there! Also, I can't believe that the 100th day of school is just around the corner. If you and your child are decorating a shirt for 100th day, make sure they wear it next Thursday. (This weekend would be a great opportunity to create one if you haven't already!) If you volunteered to bring a 100th day snack, please make sure to send it in by Tuesday. Hope everyone is having a wonderful week!

Kindergarten Chili's Night

REMINDER FOR CHILI'S NIGHT THIS THURSDAY from 5:00-8:00!!!!

This Thursday Kindergarten will be hosting Chili's night at the Chili's in Allen! All the kindergarten teachers will be there, so come and have dinner or stop in and say hello. :) Please come out and support Bolin Kindergarten. Hope to see you all there.

100th day of School Snacks

Parents,

Our class has been asked to provide marshmallows (small) and Goldfish for the 100th day of school snacks. Each kindergarten class has 2 different snacks they are going to be providing, and we will be dividing them amongst the entire grade level. I will need several volunteers to bring the marshmallows and Goldfish. (We use the snacks for a math counting activity.) Please send me an email if you are able to donate any of these items. Thank you!

Also, don't forget to be thinking of an idea for 100th day t-shirts. Refer to our newsletter for more information. I can't believe we are almost at the 100th day!

Miniature Golf Fun

Last Friday Mrs. McGary (the AIM teacher at Bolin Elementary), invited the "doodlebugs" to come down and test some of her students miniature golf projects. We had so much fun trying the different courses, and were very amazed at how much work went in to each of them. Thank you to the 4th graders for showing us their projects, and allowing us to come down and enjoy them. We had so much fun!

Allen Celebrity Reader

Thank you so much to Ms. Louise Master for being our Allen Celebrity Reader last week! Ms. Master is on the Allen ISD Board of Trustees. She read the book, My Dog Thinks I'm a Genius, by Harriet Ziefert. This book is a part of the "Allen Reads 2012-2013 Reading Selection."

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year! I am so happy to be back with my kindergartners. I hope you had a wonderful winter break, and enjoyed spending time with your family. The "doodlebugs" had a great first day back, and welcomed our new student, Bettie, to our classroom. :) Today we talked about New Year's Resolutions, and things we want to accomplish in 2013.

"In 2013 I want to learn how to ride a horse."

"In 2013 I want to learn how to tie my shoes."

"In 2013 I want to learn how to read my "Junie B Jones" books."
